7-PAGE SCRIPT COMPETITION

For the second time, the LDS Film Festival organized the 7-Page Script Competition. Out of all submitted scripts, three filmmakers selected their favorite script and made it into a short film that will be screened at this year's film festival. The goal of the 7-Page Script Competition is to foster collaboration among filmmakers and give writers an opportunity to get their work on the screen.

Here are the finalists of this year's competition:

Allen Eats Dinner with his Family
Screenwriter: Stephen Dethloff
Allen attempts to eat dinner in peace by killing an elephant that keeps stealing his food.

And Forbid Them Not
Screenwriter: Susan Tuttle
David O. McKay followed the Savior’s example as he showed love for the children.

And Mercy Mild

A true Christmas story that brings peace to three quarreling children.
