7-PAGE SCRIPT COMPETITION
For the fourth time, the LDS Film Festival organized the 7-Page Script Competition. Out of all submitted scripts, three filmmakers selected their favorite script and made it into a short film that will screen at this year's film festival. The goal of the 7-Page Script Competition is to foster collaboration among filmmakers and give writers an opportunity to get their work on the screen.

Another Day
Writer: Chantel Flanders Synopsis: Another Day is a glimpse into the average day of Gary and Atheleen Rasmussen. A surprise secret reveals they battle something that could easily wreck a person's spirit and zest for life, yet they persevere. This is a tribute to them and their character, my adored grandparents. |

Writer: Don Shirts Synopsis: A terminally ill wife wants her husband and kids to be taken care of after she's gone. She also wants to have a say in the matter. Their future may need a little arranging. |

Attack of the Red-Eyed Wowsers

A mysterious visitor appears in her room and offers Mary comfort then... disappears. Later, after the healthy birth, she finally learns who the visitor was. |

Whine or Roses?
Writer: Stephanie Powers Synopsis: After her car breaks down, a young hairstylist with a broken cellphone and a broken shoe, sets off to find a phone. While on the verge of a breakdown, she meets an old homeless man on the steps of a church. The man tries to help her, but with his memory coming and going, she gets frustrated. She finally snaps and starts ranting about how her miserable life. In the end, she finds alot more than a phone. She finds perspective, hope, and possibly even a new friend. |
